The school was founded in 2001 by the members of Cedar Creek Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. John Montgomery. By God's grace and the sacrifice of faithful Christians, the K4 through 12th-grade school ministry continues to grow. CCCS recognizes Jesus Christ as its foundation. The school is dedicated to assisting children in their move toward Christ and in developing a Christian maturity in Him. Originally founded in 1885 as Infants Summer Hospital, it changed its mission in 1958 to serving children with serious emotional, behavioral, or mental disorders. Crestwood serves children from birth through 21 years of age in services including day treatment education, outpatient treatment, and residential treatment. Day Treatment serves youth ages 3-21 who are experiencing school-related and/or family problems. Day Treatment provides a stable, consistent environment where emotional and educational needs can be met. This is an integrated approach to treatment with focus on therapeutic and educational goals.

Cedar Hills Baptist Christian School was established in 1972 by a church which saw the need to bring education back into a Christ-centered environment. Cedar Hills Baptist Christian School uses Christian curriculum such as A-Beka and Bob Jones from Pre-K3 through 8th grade. We teach writing skills, phonics, reading, math, Bible, spelling, science, social studies, computer, music, physical education and art. Our three-year-old begin with letters and sounds and progress to reading words. Four and five year old will learn letters and sounds and learn simple arithmetic and good writing skills that will give him a head start in elementary grades. Midwood Academy is one of three new regional schools that were organized in September 2005. Midwood Catholic Academy has 227 students from 175 families. Our faculty consists of ten full time teachers from grades N to Eight. Midwood Catholic Academy students receive a well-rounded education with the curriculum including classes in art, music, band, foreign language, physical education and computer science. In addition, students also receive Title I services and have access to a full time guidance counselor. Our students are provided with breakfast and lunch funded by the New York City Department of Education.
