The Yeshiva of Central Queens is an Orthodox, Zionist Yeshiva for boys and girls in nursery through grade 8, serving the Jewish communities of greater Queens and Long Island. Recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a Blue Ribbon School for excellence in education, the Yeshiva of Central Queens has achieved academic distinction in both Torah and secular scholarship. Westwood Christian School was founded in 1958, as an inseparable ministry of First Baptist Church of Westwood Lake, Inc., an independent Baptist church located in southwest Miami. Jameson School of Ministry is a three-year basic program that offers courses in each book of the Bible, along with courses in Hermeneutics, Homiletics, Communication, Speech, Preaching, Teaching, Counseling, Philosophy, Apologetics and Doctrine. The Academic Year consists of four quarters, each of which is eight weeks long. Students attend a three-hour class each week for the eight weeks of the quarter. As each quarter changes, the courses also change, so that in an academic year, the student has taken twelve courses.
