Woodlawn is a private, independent, nonprofit school located just north of Davidson, NC. Currently accepting students in grades K through 12, Woodlawn offers a challenging, integrated academic experience, and is accredited by both the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS). The school is located on a scenic 61-acre campus that is easily accessible from I-77 and the surrounding Lake Norman communities. The focal point of the campus is the historic Woodlawn plantation house, built in 1836 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Our mission is to produce independent, lifelong learners who are responsible, contributing members of a diverse global society.

Laurens Academy began in the fall of 1994 with ten fifth grade students meeting in the fellowship hall of Todd Memorial Presbyterian Church. The school was started by a group of concerned parents and educators who believed there was a need for a local alternative the the educational option in Laurens County. In 1996/97, a devastating fire destroyed the middle school and library building. As a result, the Educational/Athletic building was erected. The Class of 2002 became the first graduating class making LA a K4 through 12th grade college preparatory school. While we continue to offer new educational opportunities and adapt to the changing needs of college entrance and success as well as employment preparation, we will always maintain our original mission to educate the whole child in a Christian environment.

At Merit Academy, there is one student per class. Teachers teach directly to that one student, so there's no way to slip through the cracks. The classes move at a level appropriate for each student. You won't have to wonder whether your child is participating in class discussions or whether the teacher is engaging your child; these concerns are nonexistent at Merit. Merit's teachers and director keep close tabs on each student's progress. Teachers report directly to Merit's Director about each student's work. The director meets with each student once per week to ensure that the student is making good progress, enjoying their classes, and using their time wisely. If a student looks like they might fall behind, they are able to receive extra tutoring. No one gets lost in the shuffle at Merit. At the same time, we employ rigorous standards to fully prepare students to be successful at even the most selective universities. Our dedicated teachers, who are experts in their fields, offer exciting lectures and individualized support. Students not only take a full load of accelerated classes, but they also get experience with life outside the classroom—holding internships, working on special projects, and performing community service. As students approach college, they receive guidance with the admissions process. Although the workload might seem heavy for some students, we offer the support they need to get it done.

ACL offers a unique program of 4 days of classical academics with an optional Friday Enrichment Program that takes students outside the classroom. Monday through Thursday students attend ACL from 8:15am to 4:00pm. Fridays allow activities such as museum trips, hikes, all day sports, community service, special speakers, and a variety of other options. Fridays also allow families to schedule appointments or enjoy a long weekend together. ACL is registered with the State of New York and issues Regents and Advanced Regents diplomas.

Saint George Academy (SGA) is a private Catholic college-preparatory high school located in the East Village in New York City. Founded in 1968 by the Fathers of the Order of Saint Basil the Great and the Ukrainian congregants of Saint George Ukrainian Catholic Church, SGA is a microcosm of the ethnically-diverse community that it serves.

Illiana Christian High School is founded on the Bible as interpreted in the Reformed creeds. We graduate academically capable people with a comprehensive Christian view of life committed to the challenge of serving God and others. The educational program at Illiana Christian High School is designed to help give its students a well-rounded Christian view of life. NHS, a nationwide organization sponsored and supervised by the National Association of Secondary School Principals, is a society composed of students who have been recognized by the faculty and administration for outstanding achievement in four areas: scholarship, character, leadership, and service. Each year, a faculty committee considers junior and senior candidates for selection in NHS. Judgment is based on academics, service, leadership and character. Once a student has been inducted, she is responsible for maintaining excellence in these areas. Meetings are held on an as needed basis throughout the year. After school tutoring to students having academic difficulty is a primary responsibility of membership.
