Welcome to Community Christian School. We are an independent, private Christian school in Norman, Oklahoma for students preschool to 12th grade. Parkhill School operates exclusively with public revenues under contract with local public school districts. Districts refer students and fund school placement when there is no more appropriate program available in the student's local public school. Public revenues do not cover the total costs of services. Qualified, trained and caring staff works in partnership with parents, family members, community professionals, public and private agencies in a collaborative team approach. Emphasis is placed on creating a therapeutic instructional relationship between adult and student, which treats the individual student in his/her entirety, and allows for the maximum independent expression of one's humanity and developmental potential. The Lorge School is a special education program which serves the needs of emotionally disturbed and learning disabled students. Founded in 1961 by a group of parents who were advocating for the special needs of their children, the school has become a place where the staff provides a warm, nurturing environment. The focus is on the strengths and talents of each student. The goal is to concentrate on each student's unique learning style and to individualize the program in order to optimize learning and emphasize potential for academic, social and emotional growth. All students receive individual and group counseling, provided by licenses Social Workers. Where indicated in the Individual Education Plan, some students receive Speech and Occupational therapy. A staff of specially trained individuals is available to assist in implementing behavior intervention plans where necessary.

Founded in 1996, our PreK-12th grade school primarily serves students whose educational needs are not being served by the typical public school experience. Our curriculum combines an individualized core curriculum, geared to meet the specific academic needs of each child with traditional teacher directed learning.The combination of the two teaching styles not only allows the child the opportunity to progress through the core curriculum at a rate conducive to his/her own learning capabilities but allows students the opportunity to engage in teacher directed learning and interactive classroom discussions.

Aviva Family and Children's Services is a non-profit, multi-service agency serving the greater Los Angeles community. Aviva provides care and treatment to abandoned, neglected, abused and at-risk youth and their families.
