我也有类似疑问，就是这个日期问题，我孩子转学是在回国后学校办理的，现在也很迷茫要不要签证的问题
原问题 请教各位专家以及家长： 我儿子于2015年7月20日获签发美国F1签证，期限五年。2015年8月17日-2016年6月3日在一所美高就读九年级，随后转入另一所美高，将于2016年8月14日-2019年6月3日就读十年级到十二年级。两个学校之间已完成I-20的Transfer。目前已收到新学校的I-20表格，Sevis ID和旧表格是一样的。 之前看过论坛里面的类似问题，很多专家都说这种情况应该是不用重新签证和缴纳Sevis Fee的。 但是最近群里有一个消息是这样的： 接美领馆签证处消息： 目前持有5年F1的学生，如果I20信息有更改（更换学校或课程） 只要学生回国之前已经顺利transfer了I20即新学校的SEVIS 已经激活有效，则不需要重新面签。如果是回国后才激活新的I20的学生，还是根据旧政策需要预约就近领馆面签。建议所有美高升大学/转学/双录取转正课/语言转正课的学生 都通过系统查一下需不需要面签 美领馆签证系统登录网址 www.ustraveldocs.com 登陆之后在左边的提供反馈栏上传护照页，最新签证页，出入境章盖章页，新旧I20 请求审核是否需要重新面签！ 于是我就写了一封邮件去问，得到的回答是： Dear applicant, If the student visa you used to enter the U.S. is still valid, but you have a new I-20, you do not need a new student visa. This is true even if you have left the United States but intend to return in order to study at a different educational institution. When seeking to reenter the U.S., however, you must bring your new I-20 form, as well as your valid student visa. You must also ensure that: 1. You have a valid SEVIS record showing that you are in INITIAL or ACTIVE status at your new educational institution. 2. Your SEVIS fee for the new I-20 has been paid. Nonimmigrant Visa (NIV) unit (CC) Consular Section / U.S. Consulate General, Shanghai 邮件在最后说的两点，我就有点看不明白了。You have a valid SEVIS record showing that you are in INITIAL or ACTIVE status at your new educational institution. 这个我们要上哪儿去查？另外，Your SEVIS fee for the new I-20 has been paid. 这一点，查了https://www.ice.gov/sevis/i901/faq这个常见问题，回答是：If you are a continuing student, who has maintained status and is transferring or changing program levels using the same SEVIS ID, do not pay the SEVIS I-901 fee.那应该就是不用再缴费的了。 综合以上，我是否可以得出结论：我孩子这种情况是既不需要再次面签，也不需要缴纳Sevis Fee呢？如果这样的话，最近群里转发的那个消息就容易误导他人了。希望我这个问题得到专家和家长答复后也能用正解帮助到其他人。谢谢！
