Oak Hill Academy

As a parent of two children (Grades 8 and 10) who recently transitioned from Canadian public schools, I am incredibly pleased with Oak Hill Academy. The small class sizes help them stay focused, and having teachers on campus for support has made a big difference in their academic progress.
They love the after-school clubs, the dorm life, and even the cafeteria food—calling it better than home-cooked meals! Most importantly, the dorm parents take great care of them, giving me complete peace of mind.

Oak Hill Academy has brought out the best in our son. He is now more confident and willing to accept responsibility and new challenges. Oak Hill’s staff and environment helped his maturation process. This is a great school with lots of extracurricular activities to allow a student to grow and expand their potential.

The staff at Oak Hill has wisdom. They know kids and how to motivate them. OHA provides academic and social structure while ensuring that the kids have a great time -- the staff is amazing. Our daughter has benefitted enormously from the academic support. After trying multiple different models at home, two private schools (both with supports) and our local school w/ an IEP, our child did not learn how to learn until she attended Oak Hill. The transition was not easy, but it was well worth it. Our daughter has expressed her gratitude over and over - something we never expected, and is certainly shared by us. If you are considering a boarding school, this is a school that sticks to more classical educational norms instead of trendy agendas. All kids at OHA find a place.

There are many schools to choose from. My wife and I felt very sure, that Oak Hill Academy would be the right match for our son. After first speaking with the Applied Learning Specialist on the phone, then meeting the administrative recruiter and touring the school, we were sold. The progress our son has made at Oak Hill Academy,
has honestly exceeded our best expectations. They have a formula for success. Every one of the teachers and the administrative staff we have come to know, could not be more dedicated to the students at Oak Hill. They truly get to know what strategies best work for each student.
