1. The school is located in the Lehigh Valley suburbs of Pennsylvania, about a 1-hour drive from Philadelphia and a 2-hour drive from New York. It is a TOEFL and SSAT testing center.
2. Rich Curriculum: The curriculum is very comprehensive, offering 133 courses, including 27 AP courses and 20 Honors courses, covering a very wide range of subjects.
3. Medical Institute: Students participating in this program, in addition to regular graduation requirements, and achieving excellent performance, will also complete at least three cross-listed supporting courses, ten hours of external experience, and internships exploring various medical professions.
4. Entrepreneurial Summer Camp: In collaboration with Penn State University, campers will spend time with experienced entrepreneurs, top faculty from Penn State Lehigh Valley, and Perkiomen School.
5. Entrepreneurship Academy: Students who complete the Entrepreneurship Fundamentals course, at least two cross-listed supporting courses, and a capstone project can earn a Perkiomen School Entrepreneurship Certificate.
6. The Design Institute, launched in February 2022, offers all students opportunities to expand and develop their unique artistic vision, and more.

Berkoman High School is a traditional co-educational university preparatory secondary school, established by descendants of Schwenckfeld immigrants. Berkoman High School's mission is to create a learning environment conducive to personal development and moral formation. The school admits students who are actively eager to learn. The school's faculty comes from across the United States and even worldwide. Berkoman High School is committed to developing students' passion for learning and mastery of essential work skills, helping students recognize that education is a lifelong pursuit. It aims to encourage students' ideals to be purposeful, reasonable, consistent with traditional values, and spiritually balanced.

Overall, this school is quite good. It's located in the suburbs of a small town in Pennsylvania, and the surrounding area is very safe. This school is a mid-tier institution, suitable for students with average academic performance. Its distinctive courses are Artificial Intelligence and Medicine. The school is also a testing center for TOEFL and SSAT. Dormitory management is relatively strict; the school restricts internet access for 9th-10th grade students, some websites are inaccessible, and the internet is cut off at 11 PM.

It's quite caring towards international students. If students want to eat Chinese food, they can communicate with their teachers, who will take them out for Chinese food on weekends. During the pandemic, students were properly accommodated; if a student wished to return home, the school could arrange for teachers to take them to the airport. However, for students who didn't want to return home, they could continue to live in the dorms, with teachers providing full supervision.

However, one point to note is that while ESL course fees are included in tuition at most boarding schools, this school charges an additional fee for its ESL courses, approximately 10,000+ US dollars.

Recent international student graduates have been admitted to universities such as: Princeton University, Emory University, George Washington University, New York University, Northeastern University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Miami University, etc.

Teachers always support students when they are having trouble with homework or preparing for exams.

My child has enrolled in Perkiomen school since grade 8. The location is excellent, which offers students with great convenience. The advisor in charge communicates with parents on a regular basis, which offers us with reassurance. We feel lucky for having chosen it and feel grateful for its education.

My child came to Perkiomen School from Shanghai, China, in the eighth grade. Because my child's elder sister also graduated from here, we were quite at ease and well-informed about all aspects of the school. The school's location is excellent, and it's also a place that makes people feel warm at heart. The counseling teachers communicate very well with parents. It has both strict management systems and personalized cultivation, focusing on etiquette, critical thinking development, learning respect, and broadening horizons. Over the past three years or more, my child's studies at the school have allowed us to witness his growth. Therefore, I believe Perkiomen is a very suitable school for him! It's also fantastic!

Berkman is located in an affluent area of Greater Philadelphia, with a high proportion of local white residents and an average annual household income of up to $69,964. Berkman Middle School is a traditional co-educational college preparatory school, aiming to create a learning environment conducive to character development and moral formation, and it recruits active students. The school's teachers come from all over the United States and the world. Compared to other boarding schools, the proportion of international students at this school is slightly higher, at 35%.

School Advantages:

1. Berkman School covers an area of 185 acres, a super-large campus with beautiful environment and first-class facilities, comparable to a university, and a strong academic atmosphere within the school.

2. Excellent academics, with 30 AP courses and 16 honors courses. The school's most prominent projects include an Artificial Intelligence Institute, an Entrepreneurship Academy, and a Medical Graduate Program. The school's engineering programs are excellent, offering Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, and Engineering Applications.

3. School students must complete one year of fine arts and performing arts studies. The band and choir meet every other day, and when combined, they fulfill the performing arts requirement. Two consecutive years in band or choir also satisfy the fine arts requirement.

4. A rich variety of sports programs, offering 20 sports and owning 42 sports teams. Sports include golf, swimming, basketball, soccer, and tennis.

5. University Support: Three full-time college counselors. On-site testing. More than 120 universities visit annually. Personalized approach to finding the right university for you.

The school offers an all-inclusive open campus for a fee during spring break until March 13th, and arranges vehicle transportation for students to the airport. Some students had to stay an extra week at school because they couldn't purchase flight tickets.

Just a correction to the previous comment: the 76,000 for 12th-grade tuition and boarding fees includes a 10,000 account deposit. There are too many Chinese students, and the academic atmosphere is mediocre. There are Chinese restaurants nearby, and children can order takeout to be delivered to the school on weekends.

The academic level of teachers varies; some are good, but many students report that some teachers are incoherent. Therefore, it's crucial to inquire about the teacher's situation before selecting courses. The school's academic standard is average, but the tuition fees are expensive, increasing from 65,000 to 68,000 for our 10th grade, and surprisingly reaching 76,000 for 12th grade.

The mission of the Artificial Intelligence Institute is to explore the interaction and application of emerging technologies within the context of a liberal arts curriculum. The institute provides students with the advantage of deep learning experiences, where we inspire students' natural curiosity and create opportunities for personalized projects, allowing them to tinker, investigate, and invest in ideas, preparing them for their future careers.

Entrepreneurship Institute
The mission of the Perkiomen School Entrepreneurship Institute is to provide a student-relevant liberal arts education through rigorous application. In addition to Perkiomen's graduation requirements, students earning a Perkiomen School Entrepreneurship Certificate will complete a foundational course in entrepreneurship, at least two cross-listed supporting courses, and a capstone project.

Medical Institute
The mission of the Perkiomen School Medical Institute is to encourage students interested in medicine and STEM fields to pursue their passions. In addition to graduation requirements, high-achieving students will complete at least three cross-listed supporting courses, ten hours of external experience, and an internship. External experiences provide students with opportunities to explore various medical specialties, allowing them to interact with professionals and gain hands-on learning experiences. A rigorous senior project requires students to research topics they are passionate about, collect and analyze data, and present their findings to the community.
