The Williams School is a day school for grades 6-12 located on the campus of Connecticut College in New London, Connecticut. The school's academics are very rigorous. The Williams School aims to cultivate students' intellectual, moral, creative, and physical development, preparing them for lifelong learning in college and active participation in an ever-evolving world.
School Advantages:
1. The Williams School combines the excellence of a classical liberal arts education with a commitment to thriving in a rapidly changing world. In reading and writing-intensive courses that focus on curriculum and outcomes, outstanding teachers inspire and cultivate students' intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and imagination.
2. In addition to honors and advanced level courses, some 12th-grade students each year are eligible to take courses at Connecticut College.
3. 12th-grade students at The Williams School can obtain a library card for Connecticut College's Shain Library. This encourages students to broaden the scope of their research projects, utilize university resources, and begin to explore the atmosphere and experience of university academic life.
4. The arts are excellent. In addition to classroom projects, students will learn through art history lectures, presentations, and museum and gallery tours. Furthermore, visiting artists hold workshops annually, exposing students to new art media. Throughout the year, students' works are exhibited at Williams and local art galleries, such as the Mystic Art Association.
