Welcome to the Linsly School! Thank you for your interest in our school. For more than two centuries, Linsly has successfully educated and shaped the lives of thousands of students. If you are exploring Linsly as a prospective student or parent, we hope this website gives you a better understanding of the school and provides insights into the vast opportunities and experiences we offer. Founded in 1814, the Linsly School is a private, independent day and boarding school for students in grades 5 through 12. Located in Wheeling, West Virginia, we offer college preparatory classes that combine the traditional values of hard work, respect, honor, honesty, and self-discipline within a challenging academic program designed to unlock the potential of each student. The family-like atmosphere at our school helps students grow and develop under the guidance of faculty members who know them by name and care about their future. Our strong academic program provides students with an emphasis on foundational skills, a challenging college preparatory curriculum, and a commitment to lifelong learning necessary for success in college and beyond. With 100% college placement, Linsly's record as an excellent college preparatory academy speaks for itself. We understand that education is more than test scores and college acceptance letters. Every day, our students live many of life's most important principles: responsibility, commitment, time management, sportsmanship, maturity, and even disappointment. Comprehensive in nature, the Linsly experience extends well beyond the requirements of the classroom. Linsly encourages students to develop their physical skills and realize individual interests through a well-managed program of athletics and extracurricular activities. Linsly’s "no cut / no quit" policy ensures a spot for all students on athletic teams, and requires them to honor their commitments. A respect for competition and sportsmanship, an appreciation for sound physical health, and a willingness to persevere through challenges are values promoted throughout Linsly’s athletic program. Complementing the athletic program, Linsly’s clubs, organizations, and interest groups present students with meaningful opportunities to make connections and contribute to the school community. My wife Aimee and I are proud to be a part of this wonderful school, and we are honored to call Linsly home. Sincerely, Justin Zimmerman Head of School

CFS is a boarding and day school for talented boys in grades nine through twelve. CFS offers a rigorous, college-preparatory curriculum in an intimate setting, with a total enrollment of less than 200 and an average class size of just ten students. The curriculum is designed to prepare our students to gain entrance to – and succeed at – the finest colleges and universities. Our curriculum is technology-infused, with each student receiving his own laptop and with internet access in every classroom and dorm room. Instruction is led by a seasoned faculty with an average tenure of more than 15 years and of whom 70% hold advanced degrees; most live within five minutes of campus. Education at CFS, however, is not limited to the traditional classroom. Students learn equally important lessons on our athletic fields, competing in 11 interscholastic sports, and in our music program, with advanced offerings in choir and music history and theory. Students can explore their creative side in the expansive art studio, with classes in a variety of media including clay, graphic design, and printmaking. Hobbies become passions, and perhaps careers, in nearly 20 extra-curricular clubs and activities, ranging from chess, math, and digital photography, to poetry, a literary magazine, and the student newspaper. The vital importance of character, caring, and giving back to the community is stressed through a community service program. Our inclusive chapel program allows each student to explore the spiritual elements in his life.

South Kent offers world-class academics, a robust student life, and strong athletics. These programs provide the resources and the encouragement that our students need to master the four characteristics that define a South Kent School student: Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Emotional Resilience, and Stewardship. This School framework allows every community member to live into the mission: South Kent School prepares young men to succeed in college and thrive as thoughtful and engaged citizens in a rapidly changing and intensely competitive world. South Kent School’s curriculum is intentionally designed with an emphasis on how boys learn best. By focusing on skill development as well as content absorption, our boys are engaged with the material through project based and experiential lessons. This teaching model is designed to enhance retention, which allows our young men the opportunity to find their intellectual passions and explore those passions deeply. Outside of the classroom our students are able to participate in interscholastic sports including Soccer, Basketball, Ice Hockey, Cross Country, Mountain Biking and Lacrosse. Other extracurricular activities include Club Tennis, Skiing, Golf and Crew. We also provide our students the opportunity to participate in Outdoor Activities that they can sign up for on a weekly basis. Delphian is a proficiency-based, co-educational, international day and boarding school located in Oregon on a 720-acre campus providing students with a beautiful and safe learning environment. The Delphian program aims to create graduates who embody the four points of the school logo: ethics, integrity, leadership, and knowledge. Most would describe a Delphian graduate as uniquely driven and resilient. With the guidance of experienced and caring faculty, students learn to be self-learners, gain excellent research and application skills, and operate responsibly in an increasingly technological world. Delphian does not grade on a curve, weight grades, or rank its students. Rather than focusing on the memorization of information to pass a test, students earn credits when they can demonstrate 100% understanding of a subject through one-on-one comprehensive examinations which are designed to gauge student ability and understanding. Our rigorous academic program is balanced by a practical program that provides hands-on learning through a robust selection of required and elective opportunities. All students participate in more than two hours of co-curricular activities daily, such as interscholastic sports, coding and game design, graphic design, creative writing, video production, ceramics, music, photography, woodworking, and more. Students' responsibilities include daily “student services,” such as dorm operations, student snack bar management, community service activities, school cleanliness, weekend trips, and school tours. Eventually, all students transition from student service to leadership positions on the student council which gives them many opportunities to make critical decisions about school activities in a real-world setting. To help students shape their interests into future careers, Delphian offers a comprehensive career and college advisory program. All students do a required course called “Looking to the Future.” The course includes isolating potential career paths or college majors, researching and creating a college list, preparing for and scheduling standardized testing, and presenting themselves professionally in their college applications. Delphian students can choose to self-study and prepare for AP exams in as many as 36 different subjects. Our college and career preparation process begins early in the high school program, where students work closely with their academic supervisor and our Career and College Advisor to research and map out their academic and practical programs to help prepare them for college and their future.
