You need to have a TOEFL score around 100 if you want to get into the top 50 schools. It can be lower if you have other things going for you, i.e., teacher recommendations, extracurricular activities, etc. US schools stress BOTH academics as well as extracurricular activities, they expect to see the followings:
-High level of English
-Good grades
-Good test scores
-Outstanding extracurricular activities
-Good interview
-Good essays
