"Both are equally acceptable for screening latent TB in Health Care workers.
T-Spot is very labor intense and you can only perform limited testsper day (it requires culturing patient's T-lymphocytes overnight in the presence of TB-specific antigens).
QFT-Gold-in-tube test can be automated and you can test 6-8 plates (microtiter plater=s) per day and resuylts can be inter-phased for reporting. We average 2500-3,000 tests per month.
