Candidates for grades 9 and 10 should take the SSAT, Secondary School Admission Test. Also acceptable is the ISEE, Independent School Entrance Examination, administered by the Educational Records Bureau.
Candidates applying for grade 11 should take the SSAT, PLAN, or the PSAT, Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test. Candidates applying for grade 12, or for a postgraduate year, should take the SAT Reasoning Test or ACT.
