Paid internships are usually associated with a specific educational program or goal—whether formally endorsed by an educational institution or undertaken independently by a student. As such, internships demand a greater time commitment and more regular schedule but tend to have a more substantial component to their work than clerical duties.
Doctors without borders 有明文规定是不接受18岁以下的自愿者的，而如果是实习的话，要求就比志愿者更高了。除了Doctors without borders 之外，local的很多医院，急救中心，老人院和一些医疗相关的公司等都是接受高中生志愿者的。同时每年的暑期，有不少名牌大学都会举办生物研究，化学，Pre- med 方面的夏令营或暑校，到时候可以提前帮孩子报名。
