If your daughter wants to go to an American private school, especially a good boarding school next year, your daughter should start to prepare as soon as possible. All the good boarding schools are already in the process of interviewing the prospective candidates in China now or have done interviewing. Usually deadline for this type of schools is early January or early February. Your daughter should also have enough scores for TOEFL, SSAT, and strong GPA at current school. Please make an appointment with any reputable consultant and start the process. The final school choice will eventually be determined by the combination of your daughter's preference, school decision, and other factors such as location, international student population, or coed/single sex school.
