This is an interesting question. The simply answer if you are an American student (domestic), is that geographical location is important. However, if you are an international student from China, you should remember that in many case you are competing your fellow Chinese students and it means that the significance of school location will be possibly reduced. Of course, this will depend on how college admission office evaluates you with other academic and personal information.
