What great choices to have! Many of our top students at Cheshire Academy - both American and Chinese - had similar choices but chose Cheshire. There are many reasons to do so including: personalized attention, supportive environment, or even our location.
Cheshire Academy promotes the IB program which emphasizes critical thinking and understanding over memorization and recitation. We help our students learn to help themselves AND others, and although we are fiercely competitive on the athletics fields, we are not competitive amongst ourselves academically.
Many people prefer this support atmosphere of working together to make sure that all classmates and friends learn, and these teamwork skills are transferable into "the real world." Our top students go on to all of the top Universities, and if that was your child's destiny it could be fulfilled at either school.

The Frederick Gunn School has had outstanding early admissions to colleges this academic year. Some of the schools our international students have received offers to are Cornell, Brown, University of Pennsylvania - Wharton School of Business, Yale, Boston University, Columbia University and Johns Hopkins.
