BUA在走读中学中已经属于比较顶尖的牛校了，关于学校是否招收国际生的问题，学校的官方回复是这样的：Boston University Academy is authorized to issue the documentation necessary to obtain an F-1 Student Visa.所以学校是给签发i20的，不过作为走读大牛校来说，给国际生的名额真的太少了，BUA每年的竞争惨烈程度可想而知了。
波士顿地区的走读中学当时是可以申请的，不过在咱的身份先来之前，我们只能考虑以“国际生”的身份来申请，走读学校是给安置host family 或者是提供学生公寓，不过对于波士顿地区的顶级走读中学来说的话，很多学校是不管安置host family或者提供学生公寓的，比如BUA关于是否安置host family的情况，学校也有明确的回复：Boston University Academy is not a boarding school. We do not provide housing for students nor do we help students find homestays or local housing. We have found that these kinds of boarding arrangements are not well suited to our program, therefore it is rare that we are able to accept international applicants whose families are not planning a move to Boston.
通过上边的回复，尤其是最后一句：it is rare that we are able to accept international applicants whose families are not planning a move to Boston. 所以可以看出来尽管学校是签发I20的，但是对于家庭是否能“合法”陪同其实也是会列入考虑范围的。
