Your child is 9th grade. My question is whether or not your child plans to go to American private school at this time. If you plan to do that, you need to prepare SSAT with high percentile especially for applying some of top private schools. If your child is not applying to private secondary schools, but planning to apply to universities and colleges later, you might want to focus on language acquisition such as TOEFL and other tests such as SAT I/ SATII, AP. Preparing these tests would take a great deal of time and energy through high school years while maintaining good GPA at a current competitive school.
