回复 @zhuzhu: 在美国买了保险不是所有医院都能去，保险公司和医院是捆绑的，像我们外国人可能还有能买和不能买的保险公司，美国孩子本来就有保险，我想这所学校美国孩子都是当地孩子。不需要再加保险。学校没有经验。在美国读书保险是必须的，学校推荐United Health Care你可以买，只是担心捆绑医院远不远。开学去学校问好了再买也不晚。还有就是第1年先买这个，不方便第2年再换。相信第2年孩子能搞定。祝你们顺利。
回复 @zhuzhu: United Health Care 是美国这边比较大的保险公司，很多医院都接，他们家的保险险种你也可以选择，非常好。在美国定居，我们一家都是这个保险公司，而且在美国看牙比较贵，我们选择的险种里面包含看牙，里面好多选项你都可以自选,他们家Cover大部分。我一般去体检看病，很多基础项目Co-pay只需要10美金。很多医院都说我们选的这个险种非常好。
回复 @zhuzhu: 另外即便是一家保险公司，也有很多的不同保险设计，如果你在波士顿附近，也可以考虑, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Tufts Heath Care, Harvard Pilgram, 很多。不过Lily老师的Co-pay只需要10美金，那是非常好的，一般都要20美金。不过不知道有没有deductible.
My daughter is currently in boarding school in Boston. Because we have a family health plan, we did not buy the school recommended insurance. That was a mistake! My daughter got sick and was sent to the hospital. However, many things were not covered by our insurance. Next year we will change and use the insurance company that the school recommends since that covers what students generally need.
