If your child goes to a day school, depending on the family, he/she may not have a lot of supervision. They can play computer until all hours of the night. In many boarding schools, they have lights out for students of a certain age.
Also if he/she is in a boarding school, then they will have more chances to talk to other students in the evenings to improve his/her English. If your child wants to go to a good university, first and foremost, he/she needs to have good English ability.
Then he/she also have easy access to people/teachers who can help with homework.
Also if they are in boarding schools, he/she will not miss out on dorm activities in the evenings.
