Here are the things schools look at when your child is applying: 1) Grades, 2) Extracurricular Activities, 3) SSAT and TOEFL scores, 4) Teacher Recommendation, 5) Interviews and 6) Essays.
We need to know at least the grades and the projected test scores to be able to make any recommendation. for example, your son may have won awards in the math olympiad, but if he has a B average as compared to an A average, then the school list would be different.
Most top schools require you to take the TOEFL and not the TOEFL Junior.
