Ask very nicely. Honesty is very important to instill in your child, and if you use someone else to write it, that would be teaching your child something that is wrong. If the teacher refuses to write the recommendation, talk to the boarding school you are applying to and see if you can have the teacher from the year before, or find someone else comparable that can do it. But the boarding school should agree to it first.
