Many U.S. high school use the IB curriculum and in fact the IB is offered internationally in more than 50 countries. AP stands for Advanced Placement in many subjects and they offer a more advanced course content for students who can obtain college credits if their AP tests results satisfy the various colleges' requirements. Most credible U.S. high school offer AP courses. However, some schools like PEA does not since they consider their Honors Courses are more difficult than the AP curriculum. Colleges do look at students who have taken and passed AP courses more favorably.
