Fontbonne Academy

This is an all-girls school located in the Boston area, Massachusetts, approximately 13 kilometers from downtown Boston, adjacent to Milton Academy, a 10-minute walk away. The town of Milton, where the school is located, is very safe and has been rated as one of the most livable cities in the United States. I once visited this school, and it offers a rich variety of programs.

School Features:

1. Offers exchange programs, allowing students to exchange with sister schools in France and Argentina;

2. The curriculum is very rich, including 13 AP courses and 28 honors courses for students to choose from;

3. Learning Success Program: Students participating in this program attend a one-week summer course before starting ninth grade. During the academic year, they attend a mentoring session every other cycle to discuss learning strategies for specific courses. They can also participate in a twice-weekly after-school program, which provides tutors in subject areas and one-on-one guidance from an Academic Success Program Coordinator;

4. Academic Success Center: Students can receive supplementary one-on-one teaching or guidance in specific subject areas;

5. Collaborative Projects: Designing a student-centered learning environment where teaching, culture, and student life experiences are university-like. The school is actively establishing partnerships with interdisciplinary and industry entities;

100% of Fontbonne Academy graduates matriculate into four-year universities or colleges. The recent graduating class collectively received $12.5 million in scholarships for higher education, with an average of $175,000 per student. The school boasts excellent faculty, with over 60 teachers and staff, most of whom hold advanced degrees. Students have a rich variety of extracurricular activities, including 26 activity clubs and 13 competitive sports teams, many of which have won state championships. The school offers an exchange student program, allowing students to exchange with sister schools in France and Argentina. Unlike other schools, Fontbonne Academy's graduation requirements include additional studies in arts and health courses, such as music, drama, visual arts, and health.
