The school is located on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, and was founded in 1965. Its mission is to teach students in a safe and caring environment and to shape them into strong characters.
School advantages:
1. The school is only two blocks from the beach and also borders a 600-acre maritime pine forest preserve. Its facilities are excellent, including sports facilities like a 20,600-square-foot Field House, KNS Media Center, and more.
2. Excellent Arts: The Visual Arts Department has consistently won awards in regional, state, and national competitions. Recently added fast-growing photography, ceramics, and web design programs.
3. Rich curriculum: The school offers a rich curriculum including 20 AP courses, 39 honors courses, 38 art courses, and seminar courses, meeting the diverse needs of students.
4. Language courses: All new students will be tested using SLATE, and different language courses will be matched based on student scores.
5. Emphasis on community service: In the high school division, all students must complete at least ten hours of documented community service each year. These hours may reflect involvement locally, nationally, and globally.
