Our beautiful campus is in driving distance to New York City, Boston, and Montreal. Families choose Rice for its safe, welcoming community, strong academics, and student life.
With approximately 400 students, Rice offers small class sizes, personal attention, and a rigorous academic program that prepares students for top universities. Graduates have been accepted to leading institutions such as Princeton, Dartmouth, Georgetown, Notre Dame, Boston College, Vanderbilt, and Northwestern. Qualified international students may also receive scholarship and housing opportunities through Saint Michael’s College after graduation. There are lots of things for students to do after school. We have many restaurants, shops, and outdoor activities. Rice has competitive sports teams, clubs, and excellent music, art, and drama programs.

As an international student, Rice Memorial High School has been a really welcoming place to learn and grow. From my first week, classmates and teachers made an effort to include me—whether that was helping me understand classroom routines, inviting me into group work, or just making small talk in the hallways so I didn’t feel alone. Academically, the school pushes you in a good way. Teachers are approachable and genuinely want you to succeed, especially when you’re adjusting to a new education system and a different style of writing, discussion, and grading. I’ve also appreciated how supportive the community is outside of class—clubs, sports, and student groups make it easy to find people who share your interests, even if you’re naturally quiet at first. Being part of many clubs and sports teams allowed me to make lifelong connections and memories as well as a chance to explore my passion. Overall, my experience at Rice Memorial has been great.
