Founded in 1842, Saint James School is a coeducational, Episcopal boarding and day school for grades 8-12 in Hagerstown, Maryland. Our students are self-confident, well-spoken, and prepared for college and life. Kind and moral, our students are inspired to lead for good. Here, every person is welcome, every voice is heard, and every perspective is valued. Our beautiful 800-acre campus is home to 250 students, with 75 percent boarding on campus. Small classes ensure engagement and mastery of the material. A variety of AP courses allow interested students to pursue subjects in greater depth. Saint James students grow by trying new things. We offer competitive sports, a wide variety of clubs, service opportunities, and an excellent fine arts program that includes drama, dance, music, and visual arts. We seek to enroll well-rounded applicants who are eager to participate in a wide range of activities and want close and positive relationships with their teachers and fellow students.
