6. Programming and Robotics: Computer programming and robotics courses and club activities complement each other, challenging students to apply the programming languages they've learned—including Java, Python, Ajax, PHP, MySQL, etc.—and explore their practical uses by coding and controlling NAO humanoid robots and LEGO Mindstorms robots or developing their own web applications.
7. Design and Engineering: Club activities and independent projects provide interested students with opportunities to gain programming and mathematical knowledge and apply it to design and engineering work. In the past, students have used 3D printers on campus to build functional prosthetic hands for those in need through global non-profit organizations, configured custom sandboxes and augmented reality software, created interactive topographical watershed models, and more.
8. xBlock Electives: The "x" in xBlock stands for experimental and experiential. These single-semester electives revolve around inquiry-driven learning.
