The Phelps School is a private boarding and day school for boys in grades six through 12 and a postgraduate year. We're a small school--about 110 students--so we can provide each student with a personalized learning experience. We offer everything from Advanced Placement (AP) courses for gifted students to an Academic Support Program (ASP) for students with learning differences. What truly differentiates The Phelps School is the dedication we have to each individual boy and helping him to reach his full potential academically, personally and socially.
Our staff and faculty are deeply committed, and involved 24-7 in our students' lives as teachers, coaches, dorm parents and more. We have competitive athletic teams and all kind of extracurricular activities, all on our 70-acre campus in Malvern, PA.

The Phelps School is a boarding school for boys located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Philadelphia experiences four distinct seasons and is approximately a thirty-minute drive from the University of Pennsylvania, Drexel University, and Philadelphia International Airport. The school campus covers 70 acres and is well-equipped. The school offers grades 6-12. What makes Phelps unique is its dedication to each boy, helping him reach his full potential academically, personally, and socially.
School Advantages:
1. The school offers a Postgraduate Year (PG) program. Students can participate in this program to earn college credits in advance and improve their academic performance.
2. The school provides an ASP Academic Support Program. The academic support team creates personalized learning profiles, instructional plans, and support plans for any student who demonstrates learning difficulties. This helps each student succeed and keeps parents informed of their progress.
3. The school is very friendly to international students, offering an ESL Orientation Program. ESL new students are required to participate in a week-long orientation in August to integrate into school life early.
4. The school's rocket team has qualified for NASA SLI. Many graduates who participated in the rocket team have received college scholarships.
5. Strong sports programs, with a 500-seat gymnasium. The basketball program is outstanding, having won championships multiple times in Pennsylvania basketball competitions.
