Founded in 1946 by the Brothers of Holy Cross, Gilmour is an independent, Catholic, coed, college-preparatory school offering a Montessori (18 months - Kindergarten) program and a Lower School, Middle School and Upper School. Located on 144 acres in Gates Mills, Ohio, Gilmour has a total enrollment of 800 students, which includes young men and women in Montessori through grade 12, and a limited number of postgraduate students each year. Resident students compose 16 percent of our Upper School student body and represent 17 states and 11 foreign countries. Gilmour admits students of any race, color, religion, gender, and national and ethnic origin.

If I were to describe Gilmour, the environment is friendly. The pleasant and welcoming atmosphere makes me feel safe. Gilmour is full of fun, understanding, and a sense of belonging to a big family.
