South Bay Christian Academy was born from a dream of our own Elder Arthur Hodges, Jr. over twenty five years ago. Crossroads Schools is a state certified non-public school offering a variety of educational and theraputic programs to students 12-22 years of age five days per week. We have been serving the needs of Specifically Learning Disabled and Emotionally Disturbed students for over twenty years. Our philosophy is to create a learning environment that is both highly motivating and positively reinforcing. We meet treatment goals by collaborating on educational, clinical, and behavioral components. Crossroads School is a California Department of Education certified non-public school serving learning disabled and emotionally disturbed adolescents between 12 and 22 years of age. Our sole purpose is to promote the academic and emotional well-being of our students. Our total program provides a multi-faceted learning experience. Our teaching staff meets the requirements of the California Commission of Teacher Credentialing and are provided additional in-service training throughout the school year. Our administrative staff has extensive experience working with our student population.

The Oakes Children's Center for their own autistic children over 40 years ago. In 1962, there was no community-based educational program available for autistic children. The only option at that time for these six pairs of parents was to institutionalize their own children. These parents wanted a specially designed program that would provide an education for their children within a therapeutic context. They met with local mental health professionals, developed a program and obtained a grant. Much of the clinical staff volunteered and parents worked part time without pay in the classrooms. The program became increasingly professionalized and over the years developed into a successful school that serves children with severe emotional and developmental disabilities. Today, Oakes Children's Center continues to help developmentally delayed and emotionally disturbed children develop the independence and self-awareness necessary to live and continue learning in the least restrictive setting possible within their local community. The mission of Oakes Children's Center is to help developmentally delayed and emotionally disturbed children develop the independence and self-awareness necessary to live and continue learning in the least restrictive setting possible within their local community. We provide a very high teacher-to-student ratio and complete educational services, including: individualized curriculum planning, speech and language therapy, computer training, life skills, specialized reading instruction and swimming.

The Beekman School/The Tutoring School, a private high school for grades 9 through 12, founded in 1925, provides a competitive preparatory school curriculum with the advantage of offering highly individualized instruction where teaching is designed specifically to meet the needs of the individual. Class size is limited to 10 students in The Beekman School and 3 students in The Tutoring School. Its mission is to provide a supportive environment in which students can realize their academic potential and achieve their educational goals. This program can also educate students who require private or semi-private classes. Students who require such classes range from student actors or dancers who need to be out of school by the afternoon, students who want to accelerate and graduate early, those who wish to create an individualized honors program, students who need slight remediation in certains subjects as well as students who would like to take any type of Advanced Placement course.

The mission of Dallas Christian School is to provide an excellent education in a Christ-centered environment.
